Whitewater Rafting and Camping on the American River.

Get ready for an exciting white water rafting on the American River. We will be rafting about 15 miles (4-5 hrs) from 11 AM Saturday and ending around 5 PM. The south fork of American River has class 2 and 3 rapids and perfect for younger scouts. Rafting will be on a 8 person raft with a professional guide.

Helmet and safety vest will be provided, but we need to wear comfortable clothes (with sun protection) and closed toe slippers/shoes is mandatory (no flip flops). Water bottles can be carried, but ensure it can be tied/hooked to ropes in the raft. Any loose items has to be secured and water tight as it will get wet. Scouts will have ample opportunities to jump into the water and have fun when there are no rapids.

Camping will be on site Friday and Saturday night. Departure around 5 PM Friday and dinner will be on you (packed or on the way). We cook Saturday breakfast, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. Saturday lunch will be provided during our rafting adventure.

Note: Siblings are welcome as long as they are 7+ years and at least 50lbs.

Cost: $170 per person
