Scout Sunday

A scout is Reverent.  No matter what religion you are a part of or what higher power you believe in Scouting accepts you.

On February 3rd Prince of Peace is running a Scout Sunday worship and is inviting any and all of us to attend.  This worship service is based heavily on our Scout Law and using a variety of Scout sayings.

Items such as:

• Call to Worship
  • A Scout is Reverent. A Scout is reverent towards God. He is faithful in his religious duties.
• Dakota Prayer
• The Scout Law (version I) 1
• How Great Thou Art
• Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14) / “Do Your Best”
• Camper’s Prayer
• Now Thank We All Our God
• Aaron’s Blessing

I encourage all of you to try to attend but understand if you wish to decline.  I will be in attendance as events like this help us all to learn tolerance of others and their beliefs, it showcases many of the values that we pledge every week and spreads to word of God and scouting at the same time.

Lastly this is the church that offers up their facility for us to use with very little being asked for in return.  It is a good opportunity to show that appreciation.

Class A uniform with Sash is required for this event.  Clean and Pressed.
