5 mile hike
Need 4 Adults for this hike and another adult to drive a shuttle.
This will be a dual level hike where younger scouts can hike 5 miles starting at the Nicholas Trail head going to the lake and back to the trail head. Older scouts can continue hiking up the trail up to Summit.
- 10:00 am Meet up at Prince of Peace
- 10:30 am All scouts and 4 hiking adults start at the Nicholas Trailhead on Black Road, all hike together to the far side of the small reservoir.
- 12:00 am lunch break
- 12:30Younger scouts and two adults hike back to Trail Head, older scouts and 2 adults to hike 3 miles and 1200′ gain from the reservoir up to Skyline.
- 14:00 Younger scouts get back to the trail head and can head home.
- 15:00 Older scouts reach Skyline
- Shuttle driver takes older scouts back to Black Road Trail Head
