A nice 5 mile hike at Castle Rock State Park located along the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountains. This location has many shady spots and amazing views. This is an intermediate hike as the trail is mostly uphill and there are some rocky sections. This will be a socially distanced hike and we will be wearing masks. We should all meet at 9, but we will start at 9:15 to beat the crowds and the heat. Please bring a backpack, water, snacks, sunscreen, and some good hiking shoes. If you choose to park in the parking lot, it will cost $10. If not, there is some parking along the side of the road which is free (spaces are very limited). Since we cannot carpool, everyone should come in a separate car. Families are welcomed to join. Hope you can make it. I’m excited to see you all in person!
