I’ts BACK! Rescheduled Angel Island Troop Service Project.
Angel Island State Park is the largest natural island in the San Francisco Bay. They often need help to maintain the island and Scouting Service Projects is one way they do it.
On Saturday, September 8 we will leave Prince of Peace at 8:00 a.m. sharp(!) and drive to Tiburon. We will take the 10:00 a.m. ferry from Tiburon to Angel Island. After dropping our gear at the camp site we will meet up with a Park Ranger and work on our Service Project. Typically service projects are cleaning brush out of culverts or other light work. We will break in the afternoon. After the work is completed we’ll have plenty of time to set up camp, possibly take a short hike, or play team games. We will camp overnight on the island and explore until we return to the mainland on the 1:00 p.m. ferry. Estimated return home between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
